Bio
Some of my earliest memories involve holding a pencil or crayon. Sometimes both! I spent a lot of formative years watching, reading, absorbing the work of my favorite cartoonists or animators. It never occurred to me that I would do anything else with my life. Growing up with Cerebral Palsy made the world a difficult place in many ways. Because of this, I am all the more grateful I have been given this talent and outlet for expression. Over the years, I have had success getting my work published locally in various newsletters and papers. My best break, so far, has been working on behalf of The National Writers' Association in their quarterly newsletter Authorship. My cartoons are finally being seen outside the boundaries of my home state of Alabama. I will always be grateful to publisher Sandra Whelchel for the opportunity. In addition to comics, I am writing and illustrating children's books, including The Worry Wart, The Schoolyard Avenger, and Cock-A-Doodle Don't. So far only The Worry Wart has been published, but it's only a matter of time!! Stay tuned in 2023! Examples of all of these and more can be viewed on this site. Enjoy, and tell your friends!!
